Why "Grit and Love"?

​

I called my studio Grit & Love because those are two concepts that underly my approach to my art and my life. To me, they mean:

grit: conviction of mind or spirit; courage in the face of hardship; perseverance; resolve; integrity; willingness to see things as they are and keep going.

​

love: affection, understanding, compassion, kindness, forgiveness, attraction, passion, openness, connection

 

Whatever I am doing, I try to approach it with curiosity, determination, imagination, forgiveness, empathy, appreciation, passion and belief in potential.
